Conti Federal Services in currently constructing an $8.2 million design-build task order contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Europe District for the repair and renovation of Special Operations Forces (SOF) Barracks Building 8234 at Smith Barracks, U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. This project underscores Conti Federal’s expertise in military construction and critical infrastructure, delivering modern, high-quality living quarters for U.S. Special Operations Forces stationed in Europe.
Located within one of Germany’s largest military training areas, Smith Barracks plays a key role in supporting U.S. Army operations in the region. The renovation of Building 8234 is designed to enhance habitability, functionality, and sustainability, ensuring that the barracks meet new user occupant standards and evolving operational requirements.
The project involves a comprehensive modernization of the facility, including structural repairs, mechanical and electrical upgrades, plumbing improvements, and interior reconfigurations to create a more livable and mission-ready environment for SOF personnel. The renovation will incorporate energy-efficient systems, durable finishes, and modernized common areas, aligning with the U.S. Army’s commitment to high-performance, sustainable infrastructure.
