Scope
Conti Federal successfully completed the renovation and reconfiguration of three barracks buildings, H4350, H5122, and H4822, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. This time-sensitive project restored critical housing infrastructure for 1,200 soldiers assigned to the 18th Airborne Corps, one of the U.S. Army’s most rapidly deployable units.
Conti Federal provided expedited design-build services, demolishing each facility down to load-bearing structural elements and completing a comprehensive renovation to meet updated Department of Defense standards for life safety, cybersecurity, fire protection, and sustainability.
Working under an aggressive 16-month schedule, Conti Federal collaborated closely with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Omaha and Savannah Districts, along with representatives from Fort Bragg and Army Materiel Command, as part of an Integrated Project Delivery Team (IPDT). Our team worked in real-time with stakeholders to develop rapid design solutions and ensure alignment with evolving project needs.
Conti Federal applied its proprietary Warrior Lean construction approach, using room mockups, pull-planning, and daily huddles to drive productivity and reduce rework. Submittal packages were developed to meet all applicable technical codes and reviewed in partnership with the IPDT for streamlined approvals.
This project demonstrates Conti Federal’s agility in delivering high-priority infrastructure for the U.S. military. The renovated barracks now provide modern, high-quality accommodations that support the operational readiness and resilience of soldiers stationed at Fort Liberty.
“I was the Alternate Care Facility project manager for Savannah District back in 2020 and the District partnered with them [Conti Federal Services] on delivering a COVID-19 Alternate Care Facility at the National Guard Base on St. Croix, in the U.S. Virgin Islands,” Lou explained. “It was an incredibly time-sensitive environment, and they completed the retrofit within 22 days. So, I was absolutely thrilled to learn that we would be working with them on this project. I knew they had the expertise and capacity to work through the challenges associated with a project like this.”
