Scope
Conti Federal Services is currently performing a comprehensive groundwater remediation system at the Tutu Wellfield Superfund Site in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. This strategic project addresses long-standing groundwater contamination through advanced treatment technologies and site infrastructure improvements.
The project centers on the expansion and modernization of the existing pump-and-treat system. Key components include the installation of downgradient extraction wells, reinjection of treated water to create a hydraulic barrier, and upgrades to existing systems to enhance treatment capacity and efficiency.

The contract incorporates both prescriptive and performance-based design elements. Critical infrastructure components—including extraction wells, monitoring wells, an injection well, and wellhead completions—have been carefully designed based on site-specific hydrogeological data and experience from similar groundwater remediation projects.
