Project Overview

Conti Federal Services is constructing the West Point Swing Space under a $4.3 million task order awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Omaha District through the Rapid, Disaster, Infrastructure (RDI) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC). The project provides temporary academic and administrative facilities that will enable uninterrupted cadet education during the modernization of Thayer Hall at the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York.

The project includes the addition of classroom and administrative space within existing campus facilities to create a fully functional academic swing space before major renovation activities begin. By preparing alternate instructional environments in advance, the project allows West Point to continue its educational mission while critical upgrades to one of the academy’s primary academic buildings are completed.

Scope of Work

  • Modify existing campus facilities to provide temporary academic and administrative swing space.
  • Add classroom space to support cadet instruction during the Thayer Hall modernization.
  • Add administrative space to accommodate academy functions displaced by renovation activities.
  • Prepare alternate instructional facilities before major renovation work begins to maintain continuity of academic operations.

Conti Federal is applying an accelerated, collaborative delivery approach that emphasizes early coordination, proactive planning and close collaboration with government stakeholders to maintain an aggressive schedule while minimizing disruption to campus operations.

The West Point Swing Space supports the long-term modernization of the United States Military Academy by ensuring cadets continue to receive uninterrupted instruction throughout one of the campus’s most significant academic facility renovation programs. The project demonstrates how strategic planning and accelerated delivery can maintain mission continuity while modernizing critical educational infrastructure.
