Conti Federal Awarded Design-Build Contract to Construct Facility in Sterrebeek Annex Near Brussels, Belgium

Facility Will Support the Installation of New Satellite Communications Equipment

Conti Federal Services, a leading U.S. government construction and engineering firm specializing in military and secure construction, has been awarded a $1,542,692 design-build contract to construct a support facility in Sterrebeek Annex, near Brussels, Belgium at the Brussels American Elementary High School (DoDEA).

Awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Europe District as part of a $400M Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) to support the Department of Defense in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, this initiative is essential to facilitating the installation of a Terminal (SMART-T) System at Sterrebeek Annex. This project will provide concrete foundations, underground electrical, and communications to support the installation of new satellite communications equipment.

“We are thrilled to have this opportunity to support the Sterrebeek Annex on this pivotal endeavor that will strengthen our national defense and communications capabilities,” said Michael Prudente, Conti Federal’s Vice President of Business Development for Europe and the Middle East. “This strategic initiative is a great opportunity for us to make a lasting impact and foster valuable relationships with local trade partners and material suppliers, and we look forward to completing this project with a continued commitment to getting the job done once, done right.”

Over the past decade, Conti Federal has established a strong track record of successfully delivering mission-critical projects for the USACE Europe District including multiple F-35 Hardened Aircraft Shelters in Israel and pier construction for an Israeli naval base.

Work is estimated to be completed on this project by September 2024.
