As the hub of Ghana’s rich cultural tradition and a fast-growing metropolis, Kumasi was chosen as the site for one of the country’s most important housing projects. The project was commissioned by a joint venture between the Ashanti and Vital Capital called Golden Kingdom Vital to address Ghana’s housing needs. With the blessing and support of His Majesty King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, King of the Ashanti, Conti broke ground in Kumasi in 2010 on this $42M development project.
Conti performed all the infrastructure work for the project. This includes earthwork, paving, landscaping, and electrical installations, as well as construction of storm drainage, water, sewer, retaining walls and ornamental fencing throughout the 70-acre site.
Prabon Greenfields provides over 500 homes and community support to residents, such as day care, schools, and health services.
The new first-of-its-kind development is setting new housing standards in Ghana.
